Progress on my Barbara Bucher Snyder Quilt

I forgot which was the last block I post from the Barbara Bucher quilt. I finished this morning the last block from this row. So I could add the row to the others! I like the colors Barbara choose 100 years ago !

I would never found out to putt these colors together by myself. She inspired me so much that I had to make a mini with these colors. ( my other mini ended for display in the shop :-)

The green and pink look great together in your mini quilt. I love it! The big quilt is coming together nicely. You must have so much patience to piece such small blocks!

Interesting colours in your Barbara Bucher quilt. Agree with you that they are not the colours I would have chosen. But they are beautiful together. I think we are too afraid of using colours thtat we do think not match. But when we do it turnes out very beautiful. Keep on doing this one.

Lucy, this is sooo beautiful !
Are you hand-piecing your blocks , or do you make them exclusively with the machine ?
And your fabrics are stunning ! Did you find them in Europe ?
This quilt is going to be something !

Smiles,
NADINE.

Your mini blocks and quilts look so adorable. They even make the green polka dots look big! Really cute little sewing machine also.

Wow, I would never have realized how small that block is without the thimble in the picture. You are doing an amazing job.

The Barbara Bucher quilt is coming along nicely Lucy. I just adore the miniature you made using the same colors. I placed a photo on my blog of a display I did in my home last winter for you to see some of my miniatures. Keep up the great job.

Absolutely gorgeous Lucy. Those pieces are so tiny, you'd be afraid to sneeze while you were piecing this or you'd never find the bits again!

Lucy,

Your Barbara Bucher quilt is just lovely, as is all your work! Could you tell me the name of the book where you found this quilt? I've googled it, but no luck so far.

Thanks so much,

It's breathtaking. Makes me want to go home and dig in my stash, and start one of my own . . . along with about fifty other projects in progress!

I would never have thought of putting yellow and pink together either, but you are right, they look really good. Your blocks are gorgeous, as is your miniquilt.
