Retreat

I am home from a great weekend . It is always fun to sew with a group of woman together!!! It is a treat to sew and that you only have to stop for a meal .... not for housekeeping not for groceries not for.... etc.etc.

As you can see I am a woman who is afraid to have something at home while I need it.. This is the stuff from two quilters. Karin, my friend , and me :-)

This was a sample from the pattern we all have done this weekend.

....and some results.....

Me, promoting my sewing machine .... I thought like in a special kind of brochure. But if woman see a picture like this, they don't buy a pfaff anymore :-)) A stupid picture from myself , but we had so much fun !!

And this is what I made !

I love all the variations and the one with Kaffe fabrics, but I'd have to say that I like yours best of all with the 2 color reporductions fabrics!! You seem to have had a wonderful time!

Looks like a great time was had by all -- I'm partial to your version -- but then I always like scrappy!

I love this pattern but haven't made it yet myself. Everyone's quilt is great, but I love the subdued effect of your reproduction fabrics :-) Quilting retreats are so much fun!

Hi, Lucy!! Such cute pictures of your supplies at the door and of you promoting your Pfaff; anybody would buy a Pfaff after seeing that promo :-)!! Just love all of the variations on the quilt pattern.

Lucy - I loved seeing all the different results! I like the red and white one with the blue pinwheels! And you make a beautiful Pfaff model!

When I go to a retreat my pile alone is probably as big as yours and your friends!

I still owe you a picture of my terrible quilt with this block!

Lucy, you're a born saleswoman . . . Vanna White is the hostess on a game show called, "Wheel of Fortune", where one chooses letters and tries to figure out the words and be the first to solve a puzzle. (Example" Wh--l -- -or--n-e). I think Vanna might fear for her job, since you have such wonderful skills!
Love your retreat results!

Well, of course . . . my example is messed up. To try again:

Woo hoo - more eye Candy! What lovely varieties! Every one is a keeper. Is this Hunter's Star? If so, I have the book (!). It's on my list also of "to do's" .. Thanks for the photos.

It's great to see all the possibilities side by side. Sounds like a fun weekend - you can never have too much stuff for that sort of weekend away.

Love the quilt Lucy - and love that Finn and Dawn have the same quilt from other times. I'd love to get my hands on this pattern -it's a great pattern - and I don't think it's in any of my many books. I've not seen it before - and now I've seen it three times. I know I don't have the magazine Dawn said it was in.

I'm so glad you had such a wonderful retreat!

It is great how different they all look from each other. Yours is a great scrappy quilt, and you can see the individual blocks. I like the green one the best. Looks like everyone had a great time. I think the model pose is great!
