It is snowing. The world is so beautiful!!

My lips are a bit chapped......
I take my tin with lipcream. It brings a smile on my face, because I bought it on our trip to America.I smear a little bit of cream on my lips. It's the smell, and the 'cold' feeling from the cream on my lips. I close my eyes and I am back in Yellow Stone ....

Oh Lucy it seems like it is snowing everywhere! We have snow here in Indiana, Yankee quilter in Great Britain wrote they were having snow also. I love the snow, I always feel it gives me a reason to stay inside and sew!
Yes, I know this feeling. I´ve also bought some fabrics on our trips to USA and I cut only very small peaces to see this fabrics in mostly all my quilts to feel this feeling!
I bet yellowstone is a bit colder and snowier than when you were there right now!!! Ahhh, I'm a big Carmex user too!
Yellow stone is so beautiful. I want to go there again. I would like to see it in winter.

I gotta go get me some o' that Carmex if that's what it does for you! Isn't it funny how smells can absolutely transport us? More's the pity that my sense of smell is deserting me as I get older.
It snowed here as well but it didn´t stay. What are the blocks under the lip balm going to be?
I put a quilt you inspired me to make on my blog. I like it very much.
Oh Lucy what a good post. Snow is so beautiful.
Hi Lucy,
Just dropping by to say 'hello'. It's been slow in 'blog world'. I think the winter does that to us, don't you?
I had a friend in college named Yanny. She was such fun and her parents were Dutch. She would come visit our family and prepare wonderful (but different) food. I remember having a red jello soup one time. I cannot remember what she put in it, but it was so unusual (and delicious). I know your blog is for 'quilting', but if you ever feel like deviating, I would love to know more about your favorite foods and kitchen chores.
Enjoy a lovely day!

PS: I also love Carmex!
I live here in Michigan, US and we usually get our share of snow. This year we seem to be getting off easy. We have just enough to make everything pretty but not so much as to make driving impossible.
The first thing that came to mind when I saw your block with the lip salve on top was how much it reminded me of what a Hiku would look like.
Lucy, it is a great snow picture, and so good that the lip cream makes you think of warmer times.
We're Carmex converts too - we discovered it when we picked some up for DD2's sore lips in Sainsbury's here in Taunton this week - excellent stuff!
Glad you're enjoying the snow!
Can't wait to see what is going on with those cute 4 X 9 patches!
Lots of snow here too. We are having a huge snow and ice storm. I love the pic of yellowstone. I have never been there but hope to some day. Got to get back to my quilting.
