A little time ago I started with a feathered star quilt. I always love the block and I thought it is a nice idea for a workshop. Because I have only one day to teach, I decided to make the easiest feathered star.
My idea was to make 9 red feathered stars .... but how to set them???
I have 4 Feathered Stars right now. I played with some pinwheels. I think I am going to like it. What do you think ?

I think it's beautiful Lucy and those little blue pinwheels set them off a treat
I really like the last picture. The pinwheels work great and I love the combination of red and blue.
Your feathered stars are wonderful, can't wait to see the finished quilt.
Very nice feathered star. I like the pinwheels incorporated with the stars. Very clever. I am going to have to try a feathered star, never have made one.
Have a good day, Lucy. I'm off to a good night's rest.
:)
I was just reading about feathered stars today in the Fons and Porter quilting magazine.:) I like the pinwheels, they give a lovely scrappy look.
Dearest Lucy, coming by to visit and say, hello. I am *so* very sorry for your great loss. ((Lucy)). You must be so tired, as well as aching in your heart. How very precious that you loved your father, so, and were able to tenderly care for him. Yes, I'm sure you will be forever grateful that you did. You must be very tired. I do hope you are able to rest well for a season, now. I will be praying for you and your dear family and your precious mother. Sending love your way, and a big gentle hug ((Lucy)).
Warmly, Jewels
Good morning Lucy. I have just visited you for the first time. I love the quilt block and the arrangement of the pinwheels as sashing. You speak about teaching a workshop. I am looking for sites I can learn from. I will be back.
