BB quilt

Every once in a while I work on a beautiful quilt originally made by Barbara Bucher Snyder. I received a pattern of this quilt years ago from a friend. You can find a picture of the original quilt in this book: Quilting Traditions.

I had to make three blocks and then I could add a row. Boy, these three blocks were a lot of work! Especially the first block from the bottom, it was really aarrrrggghh to make. Finished block size is 4.5 inch. Up to the next row :-)

Lucy

ps.. More and more I'm using my Featherweight. I'm so in love with her :-)

My goodness that looks like quite a challenge. But what a knockout quilt it will be, like all your quilts.
You are such an inspiration to keep challenging myself.
Happy New Year!!!!

Hello! This was a great surprise! I think you are very talented and sure you have a clever "eye" and good taste, which I admire. I hope you have had a good Christmas, the first without your dad, as was the matter for me too.
Maybe I have to buy this book!
Have a nice New Years Eve, and a happy New Year!
From your blog friend i Norway, Elin.

Wonderful work, Lucy ! I have the pattern too and I've seen that all the blocks are a lot of time consuming
