A few weeks ago I joined in an apron swap. My swap partner was
Rhonda from Australia! I made an apron for her and she made an apron for me! How fun!! And what most fun is that two aprons crossed each other over the ocean and were made from the same fabric!!! Can you believe it ! There are so many fabrics in the world, and two women made an apron for each other, one in Australia and one in the Netherlands, and without knowing it from each other they made an apron from the same fabric! I still can't believe it !! What a surprise!
"there's no such thing as coincidence" :)

Rhonda made the beautiful apron with the awesome stitchery and I made the apron with the tulip lace.

And that wasn't all. Rhonda made for me also this beautiful stitchery, and I will turn it in a beautiful miniquilt!

That IS pretty amazing! As they say..."Great minds think alike."
Both aprons look lovely...what a fun exchange to be a part of. Isn't this blogging/internet world just the funnest!
They are both nice aprons- how funny to think you both used the same fabrics!
Oh Lucy, that is too funny!
Wow - the same fabric - I bet you were surprised when you first opened up the package! The aprons are beautiful!
That is just SO funny! Both aprons are lovely and I'm sure will be enjoyed by both of you :-)
Amazingly funny! LOL
Your aprons are both lovely, what a huge coincidence! I found you from Morning Ramble, but read down to earth regularly, so I had heard from Rhonda that the aprons were the same fabric...amazing!
More than a coincidence, funny in that "are you kidding me" way!
Congrats on having your blog in McCalls. I'll have to pic up that issue.
Well at least you know she will like yours!
The World really is a small place. Those aprons are great.
I love what you did with the cutter quilt...and you look great as an elf! Tracey
I just found your blog today, your quilts are so beautiful. I have really enjoyed reading about your projects. That tumbling blocks quilt looks so fun! I might just have to try one of those. I hope you don't mind if I add you to my blog roll. I will be back to visit again soon. Happy quilting.
Lucy, so awesome that you both chose the same fabric for your aprons! I love both of them! :)
And congratulations for the mention in McCall's Quilting Magazine. I'm going to see if I can find a copy on the newstands. Do you have one of your own?
A head's up on my old Sunbonnet Sue quilt. I photographed it today and posted pictures on my blog so you can see.

That is pretty cool that you both used the same fabric. I love aprons and have saved all my mom's and MIL's. I am glad you like them too!!
Have a wonderful day, Julie
Great minds think alike - and pick the same wonderful fabric, too *s*
How amazing Lucy, that you both used the same fabric. That will never happen again in a million years! And the stitchery is so cute, I'm sure you'll make something great out of it!
I've not heard of an apron swap! I've often thought about making a story apron. Thanks for sharing!
Best,
Kyra
