I am home after a wonderful, fantastic, great trip!!! At this moment I am giving my family all the attention they need. They had to miss me for 9 days. Take a peek at Bonnie's and Dawn's blog where you can see a bit from my trip to Paducah. I will make a post over a few days when I am with my two feet back on earth :-)

It is early in the morning here. Everything is packed and in about an hour I am leaving to the airport. I am so excited.

The weather is extremely hot for the time of the year! It looks like spring is forgotten and we moved from winter to summer. Yesterday it was great weather for a nice bycicle ride in the dunes. We passed the ruine van Brederode . A place of beautifull scenery.(scroll down until you come across the word “bouwgeschiedenis”in bright yellow for the English text)


We also saw some Highlanders.( Schotse Hooglanders) They are fabulous to see.. . Aren't they beautiful!!


At this time I am not so much into sewing. I like to read in the garden and I am reading the little House on the Prairie ( I think for the third time in my life , and it is never boring :-)


And last but not least I promised you a picture of bluetits in the birdhouse, well here it is. It is a thrill to see them build their nest and raise their children:-)

I've been tagged by Dawn with the thinking blogger award. What an honour. I blushed when I read all her words :-) but.... you have to check Dawn's block after she met me in Paducah. I'm not sure if she is still thinking the same about me after that ;-) lol.

2 - Nancy in MT She lives close to Yellow Stone where went last summer. I love her wildlife pictures and her primitive quilts are gorgeous. I will come up with a quilt like that one day.

4 - Tracey I wish I had her talent for writing. She has a great sense of humour and I love her quilts.

Little Lamb

On my morning walk with my dog I saw this little lamb. Isn't it cute !!!! I think it was born the day before. The farmer arranged a bed with straw in a sheltered place in the sun.
I see the signs of Springtime everywhere . We have a birdhouse on the wall of our house. The last 5 years a couple of bluetits raised a nest in it .
It is a thrill too see that we are having visitors again. I see them flying into the house with a lot of material . Yesterday they took a large piece of fluff with "wool/hair" into the house, it was almost bigger than the bird :-) . I hope I can catch them with my camera soon.

Spring, laundry and an often used quilt

I love the first warm sun after the cold of winter. I love the moment of hanging my laundry outside for the first time again. It is the smell of fresh laundry dried by the air that gives me that feeling of springtime ...

My most terribly quilted quilt is hanging in my washing line. It is one of the most used quilts in this house. I can already see some wear and tear :-).

We are going to take it with us to our boat, where the quilt will be used from early spring till the end of September. When autumn comes the quilt will return home.



If you take a good look at the picture you can see our dog Joseph. He is enjoying spring too. He keep rolling over in the grass... Yes I do love this time of the year ......
