Too many ideas...

Do you know the problem: too many ideas...

I have a great idea with this purple fabric! I bought it a few years ago. It is patiently waiting for when I'm ready for it :-) Today, tomorrow??

Kathie showed me her 'March quilting plan'. So beautiful, I made blocks of this pattern years ago. They never made it into a quilt. Shall I join her? It is a lot of fun to sew together, and these blocks will end in a top :-)

LaDonna showed me a quilt her mother bought years ago. The quilt is very special to her. I love it! I have wanted to make this pattern ever since I have been quilting. So I thought it should be fun to make this quilt together. I will use these fabrics for the first block. First I have to buy a solid which goes with the flowers!

In the meantime I haven’t forgotten Pim's quilt! I promised him (and Tracey inspired me) this quilt would be finished in April!

Too many ideas... believe me these are just a few; I have a lot more :-)
I love to dream about every single idea I have.

Lucy

If I lived long enough to make all the quilts I have planned, I'd be 500 years old, but by then I would have so many more ideas to dream about!

I really enjoy your blog! :)

Pim's quilt should come first!
then chose what you want to work on inbetween, maybe all 3 of the choices!

That is my favorite part of quilting - imagining all the different ideas and things you can make with the pretty fabric. I love all that purple.

lol! i was going to email you this morning and ask you how you were coming along with pim's quilt. it's hard to stick with one thing, isn't it? i'm *really* wanting to fold up my quilt and put it away "for another day", but then reason wins out and i keep on chugging away at it. and, like you, the ideas seem to be flooding my brain the whole time.

just a little bit longer....we can do this (can't we?!?)!

Oh I so know what you mean Lucy about too many ideas! I have that purple too - I have used it in a green and pink quilt that I finished the top of two years ago and still haven't finished the quilting! And I'm sure one of those lovely pinks is one of the Charlston fabrics I'm currently using in my V Block quilt. I love seeing other quilters use fabrics I too have used - makes it a small and friendly world. :)

I suppose in this case, it is "Keep On Quilting" and hope for the best. :)

But isn't this great, Lucy! You felt yourself in a slump not too long ago and now you want to do more things than you can all at once! Your muse is back with you...Maybe the spring makes her begin to show herself again! I can't wait to see Pim's quilt.

I understand you! I also have more ideas than I be able to carry out. I love your works and I'd like to see the blocks in the second pic joined.

Pim's quilt is coming along great. How could you bear to have that pile of gorgeous blocks laying around!

I can understand the idea of too many ideas as well as for myself far too many UFOs! I just sorted mine and if it was not funny that I let it get so out of control, I would cry. I resolved to reduce this stach in 2008 and have started the hand quilting on the first of them. I now have to resist the temptation to stop and work on my cross stitched sampler. I wish I could grow an extra pair of hands. Wouldn't that me nice? :)

Oh, Yes, Lucy, That's my problem too! *S*
Your plan blocks are gorgeous. I'd love to see more view of those blocks.
and I always love to see your "close up photo" of quilting.
Just so lovely....

Isn't that a problem of all quilters? Keep on dreaming of your ideas Lucy..and show and tell them on your blog. It gives so much new inspiration to us readers.

I know just what you mean about too many ideas and not enough time. And now that I've been bitten by the knitting bug again -- ugh, even fewer hours in the day! I love that purple fabric though -- and those flowers are going to be lovely :0).

This challenge is probably shared by more quilters than any other challenge - unless it's the challenge of figuring out where to keep our fabrics and how to justify buying more. Can't wait to see your progress with all of these.
