Yeahh, it's January first and what have I done today? First I've been to the woods for a walk with Joseph and when I came home I saw a box with scraps in my closet, it caught my attention.

The perfect start to a quilty year! Leave it to you to accomplish so much so quickly. I'm afraid I have to spend today putting away the rest of the Christmas decorations. I hate it when I don't get that done before the new year! I'd much rather be sewing. What perfect antique-looking scraps you found in your closet.
I always love all your little "ta daaahs" that you make look so simple! Good job, and happy 2009!
Lucy, you are such an artist. I love that little quilt!
oh that is so cute I may just have to do that too!
I need a little quilt fix!
LOL

What a perfect way to start the new year...it's too cute!
I love it! Nice work! I am working on my first cup of tea and have accomplished nothing else this morning, but glad someone is sewing!
I love everything you do. Your fingers are like magic. Everything they touch turns into something wonderful. I'm looking forward to another year of Lucy magic.
Very pretty.
Happy new year
Andi :-)
Yes this it is the right way to begin the year!
Oh Lucy what another lovely mini top - I must confess though that I have at times over the winter break hunted out scraps and cut them into 1" squares (25mm), I just need to find a box for them and then sometime I'll sort out a mini top along the lines of yours
Happy New Year. You come up with such beautiful things out of your scraps.
I just love that little quilt. Happy New Year!

What a nice way to spend the first day of the year. I need some more of these wee minis this year, they are quick and fun.
That is so cute, I love your triangles, itty-bitty ones too!
I hope 2009 will be a good year for you :)

Lucy - Absolutely lovely...as always. I aspire to have a wall of mini-quilts like yours. Yet somehow, I never seem to get there. Ah, well, it's a new year, so I hope you will continue to inspire me and I will finally get my wish. Happy New Year to you and your family!

Really neat. I've started putting my scraps in a basket for those quick projects. Thanks for sharing.
Wow that is so beautiful and you did it in no time...You've got those points down to a science...what's the secret to it? Gorgeous stuff.
Happy New Year
Beautiful - you see beauty. Thank you for sharing your vision and the work of your hands.
HOw cute it is !! NIce idea for a nice day. Happy New year for you and family from Spain!
You know I much prefer to make my hst's with actual cut triangles too. Easier to sew for me than the "sew on each side of the line" thing.
The mini is just perfect, Lucy!
Your little mini's are always eye candy. I have enjoyed following along on your and Bonnie's journey.. Happy New Year, janet
I spent some time over the holiday cutting up my scraps. I wasn't very inspired though (I'm a new quilter). This post, however, is very inspiring and I'm going to bookmark your blog to look through it in more detail. Thank you!
And it's so cute! Good for you!
your tiny quilts are so inspiring!!! and so adorable, too!
