Today I received a very nice gift from Carol, a reader of my blog. She gave me a box with a lot of fabrics . The fabrics are from the 1900’s till today. I'm looking forward to playing with these fabrics. I want to make a few mini's with them. Thank you so much Carol.
I also want to share my Jacob's ladder top! Next step is to baste it and then I can start quilting.

What a marvelous gift!! How exciting to open a box full of vintage fabric - each piece so different from each other and from what's available now. I love your Jacob's ladder quilt, its full of rich color and wonderful variety. :0)
Hoi Lucy, vanmorgen de nieuwe Quiltmania gekocht bij de krantenboer en je tulpenquilt staat er in, in de volle gloria, gefeliciteerd, Will in Parijs

Your top is fantastic and the box of fabrics a treasure.
ciao ciao
What fun to open a box full of fabrics. Lots of stories there if the fabric could talk.
Your Jacob's Ladder quilt is beautiful. Inspires me to push that one higher on my list of to do's. Thanks for sharing the picture.
Love your Jacob's ladder...so very pretty!
Your Jacob's ladder quilt is amazing. I am eager to see it finished. (Easy for me to say, right?) And the surprise box of antique fabrics makes me remember that I have a couple of similar boxes tucked away in some recesses of my sewing stuff. My grandmother, still living - age 93, gave me lots of her stuff several years ago. I should sort through it and get her story on as much of it as possible.
That is a great gift! The large photos of the quilt are lovely.
Love your your quilt. It's really gorgeous.
A wonderful gift, Lucy ! I'm sure you're gonna make GREAT use of this gift ;>)
I've been thinking A LOT about you, these days, lucy ---> when seeing the new Quiltmania issue and your tulips quilt inside, I felt it was time to finish mine. (Check my blog).

Happy quilting! That top is so pretty.
Old fabrics are great, aren't they? They really take me back in time - seeing the different textures and colours, and wondering whether they were dressmaking scraps, and what kind of clothes she wore.
Hoi Lucy
Groetjes
