This quilt is so beautiful! You have inspired me to create a similar one using my mid-19th century repro fabrics left over from numerous Civil War dressmaking projects.
Your Jacob's Ladder is so pretty Lucy, I am also making this quilt but with a beige background and muted tones of plum, brown, pink and a little blue thrown in! I am hand piecing and really enjoying seeing how each block is coming together, will add a photo later today. Your tulip quilt is so beautiful, I am hoping that maybe someone could send me a copy of the Quiltmania mag as we do not get it here in Australia.
You quilt in a large hoop also!?!? I enjoy it this way. Sometimes I'd like a frame I think, but haven't gotten around to getting one. I remember my great grandmother quilting on one w/her sister that hung from the ceiling. They would raise it up after they were finsihed. I have a photo on my blog somewhere back when I first started that shows one... I just finished a hand quilting project, so I'm taking a break. Didn't miss it a bit until I saw this photo. Looks like home to me..... :)

You inspire me a lot, I've already made one Jacob's Ladder block, 12 inches, is that your size too? And quilting by hand is impressing!
