Pincushion

Almost a year ago I made this little cross stitch. I put it away and forgot about. While I was searching for a piece of fabric I came along this cross stitch project again,
finallyI finished it. I made a pincushion from it. I aged it with instant coffee for an antique feel. I'm happy with the result.

It has a charming look. It makes me think of how, in past times, women either had to make any pretty little things they had, or inherit them or receive them as gifts. There was not so much buying the finished products, I think. Or at least, not if you were not rich and did not live in a city.
