I made this mini awhile ago. I'm happy that Quiltmania published it in their Spring 2011 Issue. I Love the red fabric which I used for the flower and binding. It is a fabric from an older line, very hard to find. Thank you Patti for sending me a big piece. I’m so happy with it.
This mini would be also nice in more folk-art fabrics because the size of the stem and the shape of the flower buds are a bit bold, don’t you think?

Congratulations on having your sweet quilt published in Quiltmania. I love the background fabric you used. I think the folky look of the design would also look nice in wool. Can you tell us more about cotton Tuscany batting? We do not have that in the U.S.
I really enjoy your work. Your blog is one of my favorites. Big kisses from Spain
Great job, Lucy! I so love your minis!!

Oh it is gorgeous...congrats on having the pattern printed.
It's such a pretty little quilt. Beautifully quilted as always :0) I like the look of the dogtooth border. I've been wanting to try that. I will have to look for that magazine - Quiltmania has become very difficult to find here in Canada lately.
What a little charmer! And congratulations on having it in Quilt mania! I can't believe you posted something twice in two days! It makes my heart sing. I like your work so much!
I am waiting for my copy in the US my subscription gets here slowly. I have on my wish list to make the last wall size quilt they published of yours. Adorable again! Thanks for sharing your designs with us.
What an adorable little vase of flowers ;)

Just found your blog by way of Stray Threads...your appliqued piece is charming and I would also be interested to hear how you like the Tuscany batting. I was able to locate a source here in the US and have a queen size set aside for a future project.
Any pros or cons to its use?
Thank you for sharing.
Wow, So nice I love it.
Hoi Lucy jij bent ook lekker bezig zo te zien, enig. Ik heb mijn applique eindelijk af, staat op mijn blog. Vind het nog steeds heerlijk om te doen. groetjes Ineke
