I also love tulips. Maybe it’s because I’m Dutch. I don’t know… Yesterday I was digging in my unfinished projects, especially my appliqué projects and I didn’t realize that I started so many tulip quilts/ blocks.
I just finished my tulip tile block.
This is a part of a big four block appliqué I hope to finish one day...
A block I made inspired by an antique quilt I found on the internet.
Another block. Inspired by an antique quilt on ebay. I also made it with printed fabrics to see what I like..

Love your tulip blocks and the quilt is gorgeous! I have about 20 tulip blocks that my grandmother appliqued years ago - probably in the 40's or 50's. I really need to get them put together.
Tulips put a smile on my face. They are such a happy flower - it's the one I loved to draw as a child. Your tulip projects are so pretty! I hope to see both your four block projects finished one day. They really look great!

I guess all of us love tulips and I really, really love your tulip blocks you have made...and your quilts! Applique is a wonderful technique and it is something I've only been doing for the last five years. The more I applique, the more I love it:)

Lucy, Love the tulips and all the block ideas. I recently made a wall hanging with three tulips.
My daughter lives in Amsterdam. She moved there about 3 years ago. She says the tulips are beautiful in the spring! Some day I will go to visit her in the spring.

I've been working on pieced tulips for my parents' 60th anniversary celebration this summer.
I love tulips also, the more the better when I plant them. I also love applique........I just won a wonderful vintage tulip quilt on ebay today..............I love all the squares you have made, they would look nice all put together.............have a great weekend. Hugs Mary
I love a bit of piecing but applique is my first love too and it's such a delight to see your applique projects and the tulips incorporated in them.

These are so beautiful! I think your tile tulip block is the first tile block I have ever really really loved. And I have the book......My mother could applique so well and made three full sized quilts that were applique, and I really should try again, and keep on trying, because the results are so wonderful. But I wonder if it could ever feel like "coming home" to me? Somehow I doubt this!
Oh those tuplips (the real ones) are gorgeous. And I"m still so in love with your string tuplip quilt! I"m back and had and AMAZING time!
