A coat and a bag

You have an old woolen coat (which is now way too big since you lost weight ;-)
But the fabric is so beautiful, what to do..

Yes, some cut, cut, snip, snip, measure, sew and...

Ta daaahhh, there it is! A bag which you take with you to work, groceries, fabric shopping, yarn shopping. Or you can carry your knitting-, crochet- or quilt projects with you. In other words you can use it for everything :-)

Lovely bag and a very good example for those who tend to easily to throw away instead of recycling !

I LOVE it! I really like it when favorite objects get repurposed, especially when such lovely fabric can be reused. Good job!

Take care,

Such an excellent transformation! And you have lots of fabric left...But this re-purposed coat/bag is just wonderful.

I have a black cape with bright pink lining that I bought on Carnaby Street in London in 1969 that is one of the very few things I cannot bear to part with. You have given me a great idea for how to continue enjoying the fabric rather than letting the cape languish in the back of the closet.

Well done!! A new boost to an idea I had for my late father's woolen coat. Must find the courage to cut into it though .... Thanks! Hugs, Daniëlle
