In love with some new fabrics

I'm so in love with this fabric. It is for the backing of my quilt. It's so sweet. Even looking at it makes me smile. Can't wait to start hand quilting it :-)

I found two different pieces of batting in my closet which I bought years ago in the US. It is Mountain Mist cream rose and Quilter's dream cotton request. I have never used these batting before. Do you have experience with them? Which one do you like better? I would love to hear your opinion. The batting I usually use is 100% cotton from Hobbs/Tuscany.

Just a pile with lovely fabrics ...

Boy I really love that fabric too. I can see that in so many different things. Very pretty.

I have used both of those batting and I have to say I really love the Mountain Mist Cream Rose. I have had good luck with hand quilting and machine quilting with it.

Oh how lovely your fabrics are. But the amazing coincidence is that I just bought, today, a Mountain Mist Cream Rose batt. Never tried it before. I will be trying it on my new HQ Sweet 16 wish me luck, I will follow your progress as well.

I have use the Quilter's Dream request and love it for hand quilting. It drapes nicely and makes for an antique looking quilt once it is washed.

I quilted a baby quilt for my granddaughter with Quilter's Dream Request and it was lovely. I quilted it fairly close together as I want this quilt to still be around to be handed down to another generation. It drapes wonderful and I think has a vintage look, but I chose soft pinks, greens and ivories for that very look. I just saw it again over Thanksgiving and had to run my hands over it. It feel as soft as it looks.

I really love that fabric too! I also have some of it put aside for a backing fabric.
Sorry I can't help you with any batting advice.

Lovely pile!
Can't help with the batting. Use 100% cotton off the role, no idea where it comes from ....

I have used the Quilter's Dream Request and really loved the result. I also like working with Fairfield's Soft Touch 100% cotton batting ... it is a pure white, not cream and needles beautifully.

I've never used either of those! I've heard Quilter's Dream battings are wonderful to work with! Let me know what you decide!! Of course, anything you make will be wonderful!

I have enjoyed hand quilting with all of the battings you mention. I think it also depends on your top and bottom fabrics - seams, and the final look you want.
Nice to have them on hand!
Enjoy that yummy fabric!

Mooie stoffen!

Quilter's Dream Request weight without any doubt - it's all I use now - and for a very pale quilt it also comes in pure white as well as natural. Your quilt will be lovely when finished and the knitted cowl appeals - I made a similar one for myself which is patiently waiting for me to finish an edhging around it!
Best wishes for the holidays!
